You do not need to obsess over the numbers but you need to at least have a fairly good idea of where you stand as far as your diet and calories are concerned.

Skill #1 – Being able to store and preserve food/water
Knowing how to store and preserve your food is probably the most important skill that any prepper should possess. During a disaster, the food and water you’ve stored can mean the difference between survival or extreme hardship.

* Give your ex and yourself some space and time. Cut off all contact with them for about 3 weeks. Don’t flood their inbox with emails or bombard them with text messages. Avoid writing a love letter that is long enough to be a novella. Just leave them alone.
